Meet Kelley Peel
Kelley Peel
Counselor, Educator, Author
who loves nature
I feel like an overexcited kid bursting through the door after a day in the woods or at the beach, backpack overflowing with treasures I can’t wait to show someone - beach glass, rocks, curious finds and maybe a slightly squished sandwich. After 40 years of filling, sorting, emptying and refilling my metaphorical backpack with experiences, insights, and even squished sandwiches, I am finally ready to share what I have gathered - and just as ready to keep learning from what you’ve been carrying, too.
I dream of creating a space where we can all unzip our backpacks - bulging with unique ideas, clever strategies, and yes, even the heavy struggles. Because let’s be honest: without the struggles, we wouldn’t have the breakthroughs that transform our thoughts and actions.
Letting go of what worked in the 80’s & 90’s has been liberating. It has given me permission to explore new ways without carrying the load of everything from the past. Mindfulness has helped me forgive what I didn’t know back then - lifting some of that weight and making room for curiosity again.
In my years as a school counselor, I saw how parents and teachers alike often carried backpacks full of regrets and shame. But what if we helped each other unpack those burdens? What if we reload with compassion, support and a few new tools? I truly believe that by lightening our loads together, we can serve our kids - and our world - with more clarity, kindness, and joy.
What inspires Kelley:
Finding stillness and bringing the present moment to the front. Reminding myself through breaths that nothing is permanent.
Big emotions are part of life and learning how to navigate them is one of the most important journeys we can take.
My work is grounded in the belief that when children are given space to explore their feelings with care and curiosity, they grow into adults who meet the world with compassion, resilience, and wisdom.
But emotional growth isn’t a journey meant to be taken alone.
It takes support, encouragement, and community, both for children and for the adults guiding them.
And just like the children and families I work with, I’m supported by a team who believes in this mission just as deeply.
Their dedication helps bring these resources, reflections, and connections to life in ways I could never do alone.
I’m honored to introduce them to you.
Chanel Davis
Illustrator & Painter
I'm an illustrator and painter who loves bringing stories to life through colorful, whimsical children’s illustrations. My work is playful, expressive, and inspired by the joy and imagination of childhood.
Painting is how I regulate my emotions. It’s my outlet—giving me space to express, process, and find peace through color and creativity. When I’m in my creative flow, everything else fades away.
My favorite element is earth—it’s grounding, steady, and full of life, just like my art. I love how it connects everything, from towering trees to tiny flowers, reminding me to stay rooted while still growing.

Ron Peel
Engineer. Artist. Contractor.
and now, Editor, Graphic Designer, and Publisher!
After years spent in the world of design and engineering, Ron transitioned into contracting—bringing his creativity and precision to home remodels and custom builds throughout the neighborhood. These days, you’ll likely spot him pulling up in his trusty Ranger, tools in tow, ready to tackle his next project.
Ron’s craftsmanship doesn’t stop at construction. Inspired by the natural beauty of Lake Michigan, he collects driftwood from the shore and transforms it into stunning, one-of-a-kind furniture pieces.
When he’s not building something with his hands, Ron finds balance behind a camera lens or out on a long walk with his dog, Raider. Photography and nature walks aren’t just hobbies—they’re how he stays grounded. Early in Ron & Kelley’s 33 year marriage, Ron spoke about the power of gratitude, often sharing how it helped silence negative self-talk during tough seasons of life.
A true enthusiast, Ron’s always up for a bike ride—especially when a juicy IPA from a local brewery is waiting at the finish line.

Hello! I'm Elizabeth Furtaw, an Integrative Success Strategist, Web Developer, and lifelong believer that real success is rooted in connection: to ourselves, to each other, and to the natural world around us.
My work blends strategy and structure with soul, bringing together my background in Reflexology, Yoga, and wellness practices to help people create businesses (and lives) that feel aligned, sustainable, and deeply authentic.
Nature, movement, and photography are the ways I reconnect with my own clarity. Whether I'm designing a website, mapping out a client’s next step, or capturing the way sunlight filters through the trees, my approach is always about honoring growth, presence, and possibility.
