Mindfulness

April 3, 2020

Warm greetings,

When I read that mindfulness was a way to peace, I said: “Sign me up!” After I signed myself up, I needed to discover what mindfulness involved and ways to approach it. I have to say that the research, reading, and experimenting was part break my brain and part: "Why am I only discovering this now?” Then the proverb: “When the student is ready, the teacher will appear,” flashed on my screen. Rather than feeling remorse over the past, I settled in with the journey that unfolded as planned.

Another term that I especially felt drawn to was “presence.” Understanding that the present moment offered a softening to this fast-paced, achievement-oriented world was like falling into a feather bed! Eckert Tolle was one of the main authors to capture my attention. After reading his books I found that other literature and even yoga to be open to the idea of the present moment. As Tolle writes, “If you are reading this, you are ready.”

Thank you for joining and supporting this Mindful journey of the Present Moment.

Peace & wellness to you,

Kelley
